A problem to solve

I dont know how to fix this. Im afraid to try removing frame from door. What if I break it? I dont have another one ready, nor do I want to cut glass again any time soon. My experiences with lacquer were not positive, so Ive decided to glass my photos from now on.
I stood the door on its side, hoping gravity will help me. Im not optimistic.
Does anyone have ideas how I can repair this problem?

I don't know how to fix it. I just wanted to say I tried commenting last night to several posts, but your comments were broken--or something:o) I absolutely love this photo and how you've framed it. I also really love the photo of the sun shining through the barn siding. Such gorgeous shots of things I love! I wish I could make it to your show, but you are waaaaaay the heck out there! Maybe I can find an excuse to be out that way though.
I don't know how you've framed/matted this print, so can't really make an intelligent suggestion. Sounds to me like you're going to have to bite the bullet and dismantle it in order to fix it properly. If the mat has shifted it is only likely to get worse. Keeping mats from moving or shifting is often a function of very tight and precise dimensions.
Do you mount your photos against glass, or does the mat hold the photo and glass surfaces apart?
Feel free to give me an email shout.
I took it to the local technical college's carpentry instructor. He said he'll work on it tomorrow.
